It is now November and the SR trains do not normally run - so the second lockdown has not had such an impact as it might have had in earlier months. Bit - work continues on the railway and the latest Swanning Around gives a feel of what has been happening - from shunting stock for the Steam and Lights trains, progress with the M7 rebuild, PWay works, Harmans Cross and Telecomm team and a review of volunteer profiles.

Reset, Restart, Recover - Covid-19 is still with us, and likely to be for some time to come. Nobody can predict when the country and the Swanage Railway will be back to normal, or whatever normal will be in the future. But the railway is at least able to run some trains, albeit under strict regulation.

In this issue details of work unhder Covid restrictions, work to install new partitions in open Mk1 stock, caption time and details new long service badge awards.

The railway is now emerging from Coronavirus lockdown and limited train services have begun. There are updates on work to prepare trains for service, signalling works at Corfe Castle and repairs to the signa box at Harmans Cross and more.

Also in this issue details of work overnight with 2 GBRF Class 66 locomotives working a brand new Class 701 EMU onto the branch as part of a new Bombardier stock testing programme.
