Swanning Around - Issue 111, 14th July 2024.
Issue 111 Swanning Around
It has been a busy start to the summer! Strictly Bulleid II came to an end but locos were still at Swanage and only gradually made their way home. Then came Roads 2 Rail and a weekend of Dinosairs
Much more in this latest edition including the ill-fated 'Swanage Belle' charter that saw Black 5 44871 having to be left at Swanage until it could be rescued by a Class 47! The Purbeck Mining Museum hosted a visit by 226 cub scouts, leaders and volunteers from the Bournemouth and District Scout Association. It's all busy across the railway.

Swanning Around - Issue 106, 8th February 2024.
Issue 106 of Swanning Around
January for the Swanage Railway often means shutdown, with no trains. And so it is again this year, with track work at Swanage and engineering work at Norden to name just two reasons why trains cannot run. However, we will be restarting public services from 10th February for Half Term week, followed closely by special events on Community Weekend.
Shutdown is a time for maintenance, and many examples are featured in this issue, including the Purbeck Mining Museum reception building.

Swanning Around - Issue 104, 7th December 2023.
Issue 104 of Swanning Around
We wish our readers and Swanage Railway supporters a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. The Swanage Railway Christmas offering this year is The Polar Express and, as you might expect, there’s some of that in this issue. The main concern for the railway management is still the finances and there is more of this as well. With details of Sygnets and progression, a new Volunteer Recruitment and Retention Officer and movements in and out there is much to read.
